FAQ

The best candidates are in good general health, non-smokers (or willing to stop well in advance of surgery), have stable body weight, and possess realistic expectations about what surgery can achieve. During your consultation, Mr Ibrahim will assess your anatomy, medical history, and personal goals to determine the most suitable and safe option for you.

Your consultation is a comprehensive and unhurried discussion. Mr Ibrahim will listen to your concerns, discuss your desired outcome, and explain all suitable surgical options in detail. He will examine your breasts, take measurements, and use of different images and sizers where appropriate to help visualise potential results. You will have ample time to ask questions about the procedures, recovery, risks, and costs.

There is no single “best” implant; the ideal choice depends on your body frame, existing breast tissue, and aesthetic goals. Mr Ibrahim will discuss the differences between silicone (which feels more like natural breast tissue), as well as options regarding shape (round or anatomical) and implant placement (over or under the chest muscle). His goal is to recommend what will achieve the most natural-looking result for you.

Recovery varies by procedure. Generally, you can expect to return to desk-based work within 1-2 weeks. Light walking is encouraged immediately, but strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and upper body workouts should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. You will be provided with a supportive surgical bra and detailed post-operative instructions. Final results, with swelling fully subsided and implants settled, are typically seen after 3-6 months.

As with any surgery, there are general risks such as bleeding, infection, and reaction to anaesthesia. Specific risks for breast surgery include changes in nipple sensation, scarring, asymmetry, and implant-related considerations like capsular contracture (scar tissue forming around an implant) or rupture. Mr Ibrahim will explain all potential risks in detail during your consultation, alongside the measures taken to minimise them.

All surgery results in scars, but Mr Ibrahim uses precise surgical techniques to place incisions in the most discreet locations possible (e.g., in the breast crease, around the areola). Scars will be red and firm initially but will gradually fade and soften over 12-18 months with proper care. The benefits of the surgery usually far outweigh the presence of well-placed, matured scars.

Yes, for your comfort and safety, all major breast cosmetic procedures are performed under general anaesthetic in a fully accredited hospital with a dedicated anaesthetist and surgical team.

Results are long-lasting. However, breasts will continue to age naturally and can be affected by significant weight fluctuations, hormonal changes, and pregnancy. Implants are not lifetime devices and may require future replacement or revision surgery. A breast lift or reduction provides a permanent improvement in shape and position, though some natural sagging may occur over time.
