Mr Ahmed Ibrahim is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with over 10 years of experience in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. His practice focuses primarily on cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, with an emphasis on achieving natural, balanced results.

He has a particular interest in facial rejuvenation, including deep plane facelift, alongside a full range of cosmetic breast and body procedures.

In addition to his aesthetic work, Mr Ibrahim is one of the few consultants in the UK with specialist training in both plastic surgery and oncoplastic breast surgery. This allows him to offer comprehensive care for patients undergoing breast cancer treatment as well as breast reconstruction.

Professional Expertise & Clinical Practice

He currently holds the position of Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, where he leads and delivers a full clinical service. This role encompasses:

Oncoplastic breast cancer surgery and reconstruction.
Complex microsurgical breast reconstruction (e.g., DIEP flaps).
Orthoplastic trauma and limb reconstruction.
Breast and Orthoplastic Multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.

His surgical skills were refined through two highly competitive national Advanced Fellowships at the same institution:

Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship: Specialised training in the full spectrum of breast cancer and cosmetic surgery and immediate reconstruction.
Microsurgical Fellowship: High-volume, advanced training in complex free tissue transfer for breast and limb reconstruction.
Aesthetic fellowship and additional training in the UK and overseas.

This dual-fellowship training is rare and provides Mr Ibrahim with a unique mastery of both aesthetic form and complex reconstructive techniques, ensuring optimal outcomes whether the goal is enhancement or restoration.

Mr Ibrahim completed his specialist plastic surgery training in Egypt and the UK, gaining extensive experience across multiple regions before undertaking his advanced fellowships.

Commitment to Excellence: Research, Teaching & Leadership

Research & Publications: He has authored and co-authored numerous articles in prominent peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and presented his work at national and international conferences.

Teaching & Training: He regularly serves as faculty for regional and national surgical training courses, including FRCS (Plast) mock examinations and ST3 interview preparation courses. He has supervised and mentored junior trainees throughout his career.
